Product Description
Introducing the AV2HD Converter 2.0 (Second Generation).
With the AV2HD 2.0 (Second Generation) Video Converter & Recorder, you can quickly & easily convert and record old analog video signals (AV) to modern HD video (HDMI 1080P or 720P).
To get started, just connect your video source (for example, VCR, camcorder, or retro gaming system) to the AV input port on the AV2HD 2.0. (Works with both NTSC and PAL sources.) Connect your TV to the HDMI output on the AV2HD 2.0.
The AV2HD 2.0 will convert your video signal to modern HD video format so that you can view it on your TV. You can control the aspect ratio (16:9 widescreen or 4:3 fullscreen) and output quality (1080P or 720P) with the convenient switches on the side of the device.
Unlike most RCA to HDMI adapters, you can also record your video to a digital MP4 video file using the AV2HD 2.0’s recording feature. (Perfect for digitizing VHS, Hi8, camcorder tapes, and more.) To start recording, plug in a USB flash drive (not included; 512GB or smaller) to the device and press the “REC/STOP” button. To stop recording, just press the “REC/STOP” button again.
To transfer your recorded videos to your computer, simply unplug the USB flash drive (not included; 512GB or smaller) from the AV2HD 2.0 and plug it into your computer. You can then use your computer to transfer the video files to your phone or tablet.
Convert AV Video Signals To HDMI (720P/1080P)
Instantly start converting your analog AV/RCA video signals (with audio) to modern HDMI format (720P or 1080P), so that they can be viewed on your TV or monitor.
USB Recording Feature (MP4 Files)
Save your videos in digital MP4 video files onto any USB flash drive 512GB or smaller (not included). Unlike most USB video capture devices, the AV2HD 2.0 records in real HD (720P or 1080P) resolution, and no computer, software, or drivers are required!
Aspect Ratio Control (4:3 or 16:9)
Easily control the aspect ratio of your video. For example, choosing 4:3 (fullscreen) preserves the original aspect ratio of most analog video sources, and will prevent your video from being “stretched” horizontally.
Important Notes – Please Read:
HD “Resolution” vs HD “Quality” – While this device will convert and record analog AV video signals to modern HD resolution and will even slightly improve the quality of the video signal, please note that it is impossible to obtain modern HD quality from an analog AV video source.2GB File Segments – The AV2HD 2.0’s recording feature will record videos in 2GB file segments/chunks (about 15-30 minutes per file). You can easily combine these files using the directions in the user’s manual. A USB flash drive is required and not included (512GB or smaller).AV To HDMI Only – This device does not convert or record from HD/HDMI video sources. It can only convert and record from analog AV/RCA video sources to HD/HDMI.
